Surgical Extractions · Implants
Aim
After enjoying some nuts, this patient noticed increasing pain which turned out to be a vertical root fracture. Given the tooth was towards the front of the mouth, the patient was keen to have something robust and in keeping with his natural dentition
How did we achieve this?
For this referral case, the tooth was first extracted and the socket allowed to heal for 6 weeks. Following this an implant was placed in the region of the upper premolar and allowed to heal for a further 6 weeks. The implant crown is then fastened onto the implant, restoring his chewing ability as well as appearance.
